AOC V4 Series Monitors in a Range of Sizes for Budget Conscious Home Working and Entertainment

AOC have this week announced their new V4 line-up of monitors. The range of four models is available in sizes of 23.8″, 27″ and 31.5″ and come with Quad HD (1440p) and UltraHD (4K) resolutions depending on the size. They all feature a 3-side frameless design and are aimed at the “budget-conscious home users with an eye for design”. They are aimed at general all round uses for working from home and for entertainment purposes.

All four V4 modes offer IPS panels. The U27V4EA is 27″ in size and comes with a 4K Ultra HD panel offering 3840 x 2160 resolution. It has a 4ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth and a slightly extended colour gamut covering 112% sRGB. It also supports adaptive-sync for VRR up to 60Hz.

The Q24V4EA (23.8”), Q27V4EA (27”) and Q32V4 (31.5”) feature IPS panels running at QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) and offer a slightly boosted refresh rate of 75 Hz as well as 4 ms G2G response time. In other specs they offer a 1000:1 contrast ratio (1200:1 on the 31.5″ model), 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 16.7m colour depth.

The 23.8″ model has a wide colour gamut covering 121% sRGB, while the 27″ has standard sRGB gamut only (104%). Gamut for the 31.5″ model is oddly not listed in the spec on their website.

The V4 monitors’ versatility also extends to the wide connectivity options, including a DisplayPort 1.2 for connecting desktop/laptop PCs, HDMI ports suitable for streaming sticks, gaming consoles or any other HDMI-using device. The 4K model has 2x HDMI 2.0 while the other models have 1x HDMI 1.4 connections each.

There is also a headphone out connection. The stand allows tilt adjustment, while the 100×100 VESA mount option enables alternative installations with wall or desk mounts, such as AOC’S AS110 or AD100, for full ergonomic flexibility. All V4 models are also equipped with two 2 W speakers.

The AOC Q24V4EA, Q27V4EA, Q32V4 and U27V4EA will be available from April 2021 at an RRP of £159, £209, £229 and £289, respectively.
