It seems every display manufacturer is getting in on the act with a 24.5″ 360Hz gaming monitor. The latest to announce their own model is ViewSonic, with the ELITE XG251G display. This offers a 1080p IPS panel combined with a 360Hz refresh rate, and uses Native NVIDIA G-sync for supporting variable refresh rates, and also includes NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer technology.

Spec wise the screen is 24.5″ in size and features a 1920 x 1080 resolution IPS panel. There is an advertised 1ms G2G response time along with 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles. A wide colour gamut offering 99% Adobe RGB coverage is also quoted. The high refresh rate of 360Hz is supported by a Native G-sync hardware module for excellent VRR performance and range, low input lag and variable overdrive as with the other current 360Hz models on the market. We reviewed one of the first, the Asus ROG Swift PG259QN back in September 2020.

For connectivity there are DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports provided (numbers unconfirmed). RGB lighting is also included and features such as a mouse anchor and headphone hook. The stand offers tilt, height and swivel functionality.

The XG251G is expected to be available worldwide in Q3 2021.
