Originally showcased at IFA 2019, we had chance yesterday to hear more about and see the new 43.4″ sized ultrawide monitor from Philips, their 439P9H. This monitor is packed with productivity- enhancing features such as a built-in USB-C docking station, a Windows Hello pop-up webcam, and a MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, as well as numerous comfort-boosting features designed to provide an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

The Philips 439P9H offers professionals working in finance, banking, and other B2B sectors all the scope they need to deliver their best performance every day. With an ample 32:10 SuperWide format (effective viewing area 1052 x 329 mm) and 3840 x 1200 pixel resolution, this model can easily replace two 16:10 high-performance monitors, thereby saving time and space while reducing cable clutter. The 1800R curvature is designed to expand the user’s field of view, lessen distortion, and enter their peripheral vision zone, thus providing optimal viewing comfort while generating an engaging, subtly immersive effect that offers the added benefit of enhancing concentration. Equipped with MultiView technology and a MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, the Philips 439P9H enables active dual connect and view, allowing users to multi-task with multiple devices simultaneously. And for the gaming crowd a 100Hz refresh rate is supported along with Adaptive-Sync technology which makes the screen suitable for some gaming if needed.

Featuring a built-in USB-C docking station with power delivery, this monitor offers users a wide array of convenient functionalities, all with one slim and reversible USB-C connector. Peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, and RJ-45 Ethernet cable can be plugged directly into the monitor’s docking station, while a notebook computer can be connected to the monitor for high-resolution video, super- speed data transfer, and the ability to recharge. Connectivity has never been easier or more flexible.

The Philips 439P9H is equipped with a multitude of comfort-enhancing features and professionals can rest assured that their wellbeing is taken care of, even when working long hours. LowBlue Mode protects the eyes from fatigue, EasyRead mode offers a pleasant paper-like reading experience, a Windows Hello pop-up webcam with facial recognition technology provides secure sign-in, and a swiveling, tiltable, height-adjustable stand and VESA mount ensure a comfortable viewing position.


Spec wise the screen is based on a 43.4″ sized ultrawide VA panel with 3840 x 1200 resolution, 4ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth and a wide gamut with 123% sRGB coverage / 95% DCI-P3. For connectivity there are 2x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x USB type-C, 4x USB ports, a headphone out and an RJ45 Ethernet LAN port.
