Philips have announced the launch of their new 31.5″ 328P6VUBREB display, which is the successor to the (very similarly named) 328P6AUBREB we reviewed back in February and aimed primarily at professional uses. The screen now has a 4K Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution VA panel which seems to be the most noticeable change from the older model’s 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS-type panel.Like its predecessor the 328P6VUBREB  has a USB 3.1 type-C connection for easy one-cable connectivity, which also powers a docking station, meaning that peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, and secure RJ-45 Ethernet cables can be hooked up to the docking station with ease, increasing efficiency while eliminating cable clutter. There are also 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0 downstream ports provided. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotation adjustments. There are also integrated stereo speakers.

In other specs the screen has a 4ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness (600 cd/m2 peak for HDR) and 178/178 viewing angles. It is VESA Display HDR 600 certified and includes a wide colour gamut offering 100% DCI-P3 coverage (138% sRGB mentioned also) along with support for a 10-bit colour depth  and 12-bit internal colour processing. The spec page implies that there is a factory calibration with dE of <2, along with Philip’s ‘SmartUniformity’ mode for uniformity correction across the panel.

The Philips 328P6VUBREB is expected to be released in November 2018 with an RRP of £559.00.
