NEC have just release a new monitor in their MultiSync lineup, aimed at professional uses and colour critical work. The PA311D is 31.1″ in size and features a 4096 x 2160 resolution IPS technology panel. It has a range of specs and features geared at colour accuracy and high end usage.

Spec wise the screen has a 4096 x 2160 resolution, 8ms G2G response time, 1400:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 1.07b colour depth. The screen has a wide colour gamut offering 100% Adobe RGB, 97.4% NTSC and 99.9% sRGB coverage. Additionally, it supports the HLG and PQ HDR standards.

The screen has a 14-vit 3D LUT for hardware calibration. NEC’s MultiProfiler software provides complete control over the five picture modes, including the loading of any ICC profile directly into the monitor for optimal color space matching. This model also includes NEC’s custom color processor, the SpectraView II Engine, an always-on backlight sensor for stable color and brightness for the life of the display, as well as a low-latency mode when working with live video.

Picture In Picture (PiP) and Picture by Picture (PbP) are both supported. Wide connectivity includes both regular and Mini DisplayPort with 10-bit support, 10-bit HDMI, and USB Type-C with 65W of power delivery. An added Human Sensor saves power when not in use.

The PA311D is touch capable and comes equipped with a 150mm adjustable stand with tilt and swivel capabilities. It is also available with an optional hood (HD2PA31).

It is available November 2019 at a minimum advertised price of $2,999 and in a SpectraView bundle for $3,249. The optional HD2PA31 hood is available for $299
