Back at the end of September 2019 we brought you a sneak peak of a new display AOC were working on – the C27G2Z. This was a 27″ sized screen which used a curve VA panel with 240Hz native refresh rate. There was very little information about the screen or its specs at the time, but we now have more information to share courtesy of AOC’s website.

The C27G2Z is 27″ in size and features a 1920 x 1080 resolution VA technology panel. It has a native 240Hz refresh rate which is supported by adaptive-sync, offering VRR support for both AMD and NVIDIA systems. There is also a 0.5ms MPRT spec as the screen offers a strobing motion blur reduction backlight mode as well.

In other specs the 1500R curved VA panel offers a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and a wide colour gamut with 120% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 coverage quoted. The screen also comes factory calibrated offering a dE < 2.

Connectivity wise there are DisplayPort and 2x HDMI 2.0 connections along with an audio output. Tilt, height and swivel adjustments are provided from the stand.

No word on release date or pricing yet in Europe or the USA.
