Acer Predator XB323QK NV with 31.5″ 4K IPS Panel and 144Hz Refresh Rate

Acer announced back in June 2020 their forthcoming Predator XB323QK NV display which is 31.5″ in size and features a 3840 x 2160 (“4K”) resolution IPS panel combined with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Adaptive-Sync is supported for variable refresh rates, including ‘G-sync Compatible Mode’ (certification pending) and AMD FreeSync, with an assumed 48 – 144Hz (plus LFC) variable refresh rate range.
In other specs the screen offers a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit+FRC colour depth and 90% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. An “up to 0.5ms G2G” response time is listed in the press release for the new Predator XB3 series in general so we assume this model will have that spec too – although to be taken with a big pinch of salt of course in reality.
There are DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0, USB type-C, 4x USB 3.0 and an audio output connections provided. The new line includes Acer Adaptive light, helping gamers stay comfortable during long gaming sessions with a stand that features tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment. RGB LightSense lets gamers choose a variety of different lighting effects, including color, speed, duration and brightness, which can be set to react to gameplay, music, or video.
Acer VisionCare 4.0 – Game More Comfortably
Both the new Predator XB3 series monitors feature Acer VisionCare 4.0, a comprehensive suite of technologies that help protect users’ eyes during longer gaming sessions and tournaments. Acer VisionCare 4.0 includes LightSense, for adjusting the monitor’s screen brightness based on ambient lighting, in addition to AdaptiveLight, ColorSense and ProxiSense, a suite of technologies that measure environmental and ambient light to automatically adjust the monitor’s brightness and colour-temperature accordingly. At the time of the original news piece in June 2020 the XB323QK NV was expected to be available in Europe from August 2020 and North America from September 2020. That time has obviously passed now (as we update this news piece in January 2021!) but we now have some updated information and pricing to share. According to the latest Acer press release, the Predator XB323QK NV monitor will be available in North America in May starting at USD $1,199.99; in EMEA in May starting at EUR 1,199.00.
