Samsung are soon to release a couple of new monitors focused on “space saving”. The new models come in 27″ and 32″ sizes and feature a pretty unique desk clamp mounting arm, cutting down on the size of a traditional monitor arm and stand. When not in use, the Samsung Space Monitors push back to sit flat against a back wall and leave your entire work surface clear. When it’s time for use, simply pull the Space Monitor towards you and adjust to your preferred viewing position.
Samsung Space Monitor lets you use more of your work space. In side-by-side comparison on a 47.2 inch x 19.7 inch (120cm x 50cm) desk, the Space Monitor provides up to 40 percent more usable surface area than a conventional monitor of equivalent size (Samsung SD850). The arm provides tilt and height adjustments.
This model is 27″ in size with a 2560 x 1440 resolution VA panel. It also features a 144Hz refresh rate making it a viable option for gaming as well. It has a 3-side borderless design along with its unique stand and mounting arm. Spec wise there is a 4ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth and normal sRGB gamut. PiP and PbP are supported. There are 1x HDMI and 1x Mini DisplayPort connections available.
