Philips 346P1CRH 34″ Ultrawide Display with USB type-C and Pop-up Webcam
At yesterday’s UK press event we had chance to see one of the latest Philips monitors which we haven’t talked about before on TFT Central. The 346P1CRH is a 34″ ultrawide display aimed at office and business users with a focus on comfort and productivity. USB-C provides simple single-cable connectivity, and a secure pop-up webcam with Windows Hello increases your productivity.
The 346P1CRH offers a curved VA technology panel with 3440 x 1440 resolution. There is a 4ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 16.7m colour depth. A 100Hz refresh rate is even supported along with adaptive-sync for VRR, making this display suitable for gaming, despite that not being the target market.
This Philips display features a built-in USB type-C docking station with power delivery. Its slim, reversible USB-C connector allows for easy, one-cable docking. Keep it simple by connecting all your peripherals, like your keyboard, mouse and your RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the monitor’s docking station. Simply connect your notebook to this monitor with a single USB-C cable to watch high-resolution video and transfer super-speed data while powering up and recharging your notebook at the same time.
With the MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, you can control two separate PCs with one monitor-keyboard-mouse setup. A convenient button allows you to quickly switch between sources. Handy with setups that require dual PC computing power or sharing one large monitor to show two different PCs.
Phillips’ innovative and secure webcam pops up when you need it and securely tucks back into the monitor when you are not using it. The webcam is also equipped with advanced sensors for Windows Hello™ facial recognition, which conveniently logs you into your Windows devices in less than 2 seconds, 3 times faster than a password.
PowerSensor is a built-in ‘people sensor’ that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if the user is present and automatically reduces monitor brightness when the user steps away from the desk, cutting energy costs by up to 70 percent and prolonging monitor life. As well as this, there is a focus on user comfort with a flicker free backlight being used, and low blue light filter modes available. Multiview Picture by Picture is supported as well.
For connectivity there is DisplayPort 1.4 x 1, HDMI 2.0 x 1, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 x 1 (upstream, power delivery up to 90 W) along with 4x USB ports, a headphone out and an RJ45 (Ethernet LAN up to 1G) connection.
