We brought you news about a couple of the most exciting new models from Acer showcased at IFA this year, the 27″ XV273 X and 24.5″ XV253Q X with 1080p 240Hz refresh rate IPS panels, some of the first models to market with this high a refresh rate from IPS panel technology.

There were also a couple of other models showcased which are also interesting and part of their Nitro gaming lineup – the 27″ XV273U S and 24.5″ XV253Q P. Acer Nitro VG272X Basic Model with 27″ 1080p 240Hz IPS Panel

Another new model has appeared on Taiwanese online stores from Acer, which is their Nitro VG272X. This is a 27″ sized screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution IPS panel, and a 240Hz refresh rate. IT looks to be a more basic, trimmed down version of the XV273K which was announced a little while back. It has a more basic stand with only a tilt adjustment, and is missing the USB hub as well, but does keep the same underlying panel performance.

Acer Predator X27 P with Minor Updates Now Supporting VRR Over HDMI

Acer appear to be making a minor update to their high-end Predator X27 display, with the arrival in Taiwan at least of the new X27 P model. The X27 was one of the first 27″ monitors with 4K and 144Hz, their equivalent to the Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ that we reviewed last year. The updated X27 P looks largely similar in specs and features, and unlike Asus’ planned update to the PG27UQ with the PG27UQX, does not appear to be moving to a backlight with more dimming zones than the original. There are a couple of updates though.

LG have announced at IFA 2019 this week their new 27GN750 display, a 27″ IPS model with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. It is part of their “expanded lineup of UltraGear 1ms IPS NVIDIA G-sync gaming monitors”, although we know to take the 1ms IPS specs with a pinch of salt from our recent testing of the new 27GL850 model. The new model will be LG’s first IPS panel with 240Hz refresh rate though, which will be an interesting addition to their lineup.

At this year’s IFA 2019 event in Berlin Asus have showcased their new ProArt PA32UCG display, a screen which has an incredibly impressive spec, but will no doubt carry a hefty price tag.
