Acer have recently released a new 34″ sized screen in some regions, their XV340CKP. This is a somewhat unusual screen option as it has a 34″ ultrawide panel, but has a flat format instead of curved. It features a 3440 x 1440 resolution IPS technology panel and a native 144Hz refresh rate as well. This is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR support from both NVIDIA and AMD systems.
Spec wise the 34″ screen has a 4ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7mm colour depth and a standard sRGB gamut. There is also a 1ms MPRT spec for the added blur reduction backlight mode.
2x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0 connections are provided along with an audio output. The stand offers tilt and 120mm height adjustments. There are also integrated 2x 3W speakers.
We are pending confirmation of release and pricing in various regions. More info when we get it.
Update 5/2/20 – The XV340CK has an RRP of $599.99 and should be available in multiple regions including North America during Q1 2020.
