Gigabyte Aorus FO48U with 48″ OLED Panel, 4K Resolution, 120Hz and HDMI 2.1

Back in April 2021 Gigabyte teased three new displays in their Aorus line-up on their website, with a “coming soon” holding page. There is a focus on 4K resolution, high refresh rates and the latest HDMI 2.1 connectivity. The new displays are Gigabyte’s first 4K gaming monitors and will be available in 3 sizes. There is the 31.5″ FI32U, a screen we already brought you some early information about in this news piece . There is the 43.4″ FV43U which we also covered in this news piece.

Perhaps most interesting of all though is a new flagship model which will be their largest screen so far, the 48″ FO48U which they talk about as being the World’s first 48″ gaming monitor. This screen uses an OLED panel and will be a direct competitor to the very popular LG 2020 CX and 2021 C1 48″ TV models for desktop PC use it seems. More information was then released in June 2021 on the Gigabyte website.

ViewSonic ELITE XG251G with 24.5″ IPS Panel, 360Hz Refresh and NVIDIA G-sync

It seems every display manufacturer is getting in on the act with a 24.5″ 360Hz gaming monitor. The latest to announce their own model is ViewSonic, with the ELITE XG251G display. This offers a 1080p IPS panel combined with a 360Hz refresh rate, and uses Native NVIDIA G-sync for supporting variable refresh rates, and also includes NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer technology.

LG 34GP950G with 34″ Ultrawide Nano IPS Panel, 180Hz Refresh Rate and G-sync Ultimate

LG have announced their new 34″ ultrawide display in their UltraGear gaming line-up. The 34GP950G offers an ultrawide 34″ screen with a 1900R curvature , 21:9 aspect ratio and a 3440 x 1440 resolution Nano IPS panel. This is combined with a 180Hz overclocked refresh rate and Native NVIDIA G-sync support, certified under the G-sync Ultimate scheme.

MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD with 32″ 4K IPS Panel, 144Hz Refresh Rate and HDMI 2.1

This is a short news piece for now while we wait for more details information. MSI have this week announced a new monitor in their Optix eSports line-up. The Optix MPG321UR-QD is a 32″ sized display with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate combined. It’s based on an IPS technology panel and offers a reported 1ms G2G response time as well as Quantum Dot coating for a wide colour gamut. HDMI 2.1 connectivity is also promoted making it suitable for modern games consoles and graphics cards. More info when we get it, some images below.
