Samsung C49G95T with 49″ VA Panel, 5120 x 1440 Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate Released

Originally announced back in January, Samsung are now set to release their new Odyssey G9 series 49″ mega-wide gaming display. The C49G95T offers a curved (1000R) format display with a 32:9 aspect ratio, 5120 x 1440 resolution (the same as dual 27″ 1440p screens) along with a 240Hz refresh rate VA technology panel. This high refresh rate is supported through adaptive sync offering VRR support for both AMD and NVIDIA systems.

Acer Nitro XV272U X with World’s First 240Hz IPS Panel and 2560 x 1440 Resolution Combined

Information about the first 240Hz IPS monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution has now appeared online. The 27″ Acer Nitro XV272U X will be the first to take that step beyond the common 1080p resolution while using an IPS technology panel. It offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, and also supports adaptive sync for variable refresh rates from both AMD and NVIDIA systems.

Acer XZ270X and XZ320QX with 240Hz VA Technology Panels and 4000:1 Contrast Ratio

Acer look set to release a couple of new high refresh rate gaming VA displays, with information emerging on some retail sites in China. The XZ270X and XZ320QX are 27″ and 32″ respectively in size and offer a 1920 x 1080 resolution VA panel, with a 240Hz native refresh rate. They have a curved screen format as well with 1500R curvature on the 27″ model and a 1800R curvature on the 32″ model.

MSI Optix PAG272QR2 Gaming Display with 27″ IPS Panel and 165Hz Refresh Rate

Information about a new gaming monitor from MSI has appeared online in some regions. The PAG272QR2 is a 27″ sized screen and features a 2560 x 1440 resolution “Rapid-IPS” panel, 165Hz refresh rate and adaptive sync support for variable refresh rates from NVIDIA and AMD systems.

Samsung Odyssey C27G75T and C32G75T with 240Hz VA Panels Released

Originally announced back in January, Samsung are now set to release their new Odyssey G7 series of gaming displays. These are available in sizes of 27″ and 32″ a and focus on delivering 240Hz VA panels combined with higher resolutions than you’d normally find with this refresh rate. The new models are the 27″ C27G75T and 31.5″ C32G75T.

Dell Alienware 25 Gaming 360Hz Monitor (AW2521H) Announced

Back in January we brought you news of the first display announced to feature the next generation of high refresh rate technology. The Asus ROG Swift 360Hz was showcased at CES 2020 and as the name suggests, was the first model to be announced with a whopping 360Hz refresh rate. Dell have now also recently announced their equivalent model, the Alienware AW2521H.

Acer ConceptD CP5271U V with 27″ 1440p IPS Panel and 170Hz Refresh Rate

Acer have announced the release of their new CP5271U V display in their ‘ConceptD’ range. The naming convention is a little unclear with these new models, but it’s in the CP-5 series and is then 27″ in size. The screen is aimed at both designers and gamers, with a focus on a fairly unique and unusual design. There is a plastic base with wood-grain effect and a contrasting cylindrical silver-coloured stand. The screen has a detachable shading hood as well.
