Sneak Peek: AOC Planning 27″ C27G2Z and 32″ C32G2Z with 240Hz VA Panels

We’ve only seen one monitor announced so far based on a 240Hz refresh rate VA panel, and that was the Samsung C27RG50 back in June 2019 (yet to appear in retail channels). AOC have now announced that they are developing two new models in their G2 gaming range which will offer this panel technology and refresh rate combination next year. They are the 27″ C27G2Z and 32″ C32G2Z.

Asus TUF Gaming VG259Q with 24.5″ IPS Panel and 144Hz Refresh

Asus are set to release a new model in their TUF Gaming line-up, the 24.5″ VG259Q. The new screen features an IPS technology panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is assisted by support for adaptive-sync (48 – 144Hz range) which will allow variable refresh rate support from both NVIDIA and AMD systems.

ViewSonic Elite XG270 with 27″ 1080p IPS Panel and 240Hz Refresh Rate

ViewSonic have recently announced the launch of their forthcoming Elite XG270 display. Not to be confused with the also announced XG270QG (a 27″ Nano IPS model with 1440p and 144/165Hz refresh rate), the XG270 is instead a 27″ model with a 1080p resolution, but a native 240Hz IPS panel. This will offer another alternative in the market to the range of other 27″ 240Hz IPS panels we’ve seen announced to date such as the Acer Nitro VG272X, Dell Alienware AW2720HF, Acer Nitro XV273X and LG 27GN750 for instance.

ViewSonic Elite XG270QG with 27″ Nano IPS Panel and NVIDIA G-sync

ViewSonic are set to release a new 27″ gaming screen in their XG range, making use of the same LG.Display Nano IPS panel that has been featured in the LG 27GL850 already and is attracting a lot of buyer interest. The new model is the ViewSonic Elite XG270QG and it will also offer native G-sync support (featuring a hardware module) and a few extra gamer-orientated features like mouse bungees and a headphone holder.

BenQ Studio Series SW321C with 32″ IPS Panel Coming Soon

BenQ have a new professional grade monitor listed as coming soon on their website. The SW321C will form part of their ‘Studio’ line-up aimed at image editing and colour critical work, and offers a range of advanced features and specs. The SW321C is 32″ in size and features a 3840 x 2160 UltraHD resolution IPS panel, with wide colour gamut.

AOC Introduce Four New G2 Series Gaming Screens with 1080p IPS Panels

This week AOC have announced 4 new models in their G2 Series of displays, aimed at gaming. There are two models which are 27″ in size, the 27G2U and 27G2U5, as well as two smaller 23.8″ sized models, the 24G2U and 24G2U5. The models ending with 5 are lower refresh rate models with only 75Hz maximum supported, while the two ending in U feature a 144Hz refresh rate. All four screens are based on IPS technology panels with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, support AMD FreeSync for variable refresh rates, as well as an advertised 1ms MPRT spec.

Acer Nitro XV273U S and Acer Nitro XV253Q P Gaming Displays Announced

We brought you news about a couple of the most exciting new models from Acer showcased at IFA this year, the 27″ XV273 X and 24.5″ XV253Q X with 1080p 240Hz refresh rate IPS panels, some of the first models to market with this high a refresh rate from IPS panel technology.

There were also a couple of other models showcased which are also interesting and part of their Nitro gaming lineup – the 27″ XV273U S and 24.5″ XV253Q P. These models have a lower refresh rate (165Hz and 144Hz respectively), but still fall in to the bracket of high refresh rate displays and are worth looking at.
