BenQ PD2700U Pro-Designer Display for Colour Critical Work

BenQ have recently released a new 27″ monitor in their Designer range, the PD2700U. The display is aimed at professional users, designers, CAD/CAM work and colour critical work.

The 27″ IPS-type panel has an Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution for high levels of detail. There is reference grade colour performance offered by the screen with 10-bit colour depth support, 100% sRGB gamut and a range of preset modes for different applications including CAD/CAM, animation mode and darkroom mode. Factory calibration is included although there’s no talk of hardware calibration.

In other specs the IPS panel offers a 5ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 1300:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles. There are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x Mini DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0 and 4x USB 3.0 ports provided for connectivity. The stand has a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

The screen also includes a KVM switch and screen daisy-chaining capability. The usual BenQ focus on eye care is included, with flicker free backlight, low blue light modes and even an ambient light sensor for auto brightness control.

The screen is available to buy or pre-order now at a price of £428.99 in the UK (Amazon UK link) and $539.99 in the US (Amazon US link).
