Samsung S34J55W Ultrawide with Flat VA Panel

Samsung have been producing curved ultrawide screens up until now, but with the new S34J55W (part of their SJ55 series), they are set to release a 34″ flat ultrawide model this time with a 21:9 aspect ratio. This is aimed at general all-round office work primarily.The 34″ panel offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution and is based on an SVA technology (VA-type) panel. In other specs the screen offers a 4ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a standard sRGB colour gamut. While there is only a 60Hz refresh rate offered, the screen does support AMD FreeSync for variable refresh rates, and there is also a low input lag mode in the OSD menu.

Only a tilt adjustment if offered from the stand and for connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack provided. Picture By Picture (PbP) and Picture In Picture (PiP) options are offered as well for multi-tasking.

There is no confirmation on release date or price at the moment.
