NEC MultiSync EA271Q and EA271U for Business and Offices

NEC have recently announced the release of a couple of new 27″ monitors in their range with the same overall design but different underlying specs and features.

Firstly there is the new MultiSync EA271Q, a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD resolution display for offices, control rooms and trading floors. The resolution helps enable users to promote maximum office productivity compared with more traditional 1080p resolution screens.

Then there is the MultiSync EA271U with a 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD resolution, and which is designed for highly-detailed applications such as content creation, CAD / CAM design, control rooms and trading floors.

AOC G2590PX/G2 ‘G2 Esports Signature Edition’ Display for Gaming

AOC have recently announced the first G2 Esports branded monitor, the G2590PX/G2. Made possible through a collaboration between AOC and G2 Esports, one of the most powerful and successful Esports organizations worldwide, this monitor’s new special edition features a unique design with the official G2 Esports samurai art and logos. Asus ROG Strix XG32VQR with 144Hz VA Panel and FreeSync

Asus have recently announced an update to their XG32VQ display, this time adding an ‘R’ to the end (XG32VQR) and including some new features like FreeSync 2 and basic HDR support. Overall the design remains the same as its predecessor, and includes some of the typical ROG Strix family styling like the downward projecting light signature at the bottom of the stand, and Aura Sync lighting ring on the back of the screen for instance. Acer Nitro XV272U, VG271U and XF272U with 144Hz and DCI-P3 Gamut

Acer are soon to release three new 27″ models in their ‘Nitro’ gaming lineup, all featuring 2560 x 1440 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. There is not a lot of official information about these yet, but the new models are the Nitro XV272U (with IPS-type technology panel), Nitro VG271U (also with IPS-type technology) and the Nitro XF272U (with TN Film technology panel). All of these models feature a new wide gamut backlight offering coverage of 95% (for the IPS models) and 90% DCI-P3 (for the TN Film model), boosting them beyond the typical sRGB offerings currently available in the market in this area.

BenQ PD2700U Pro-Designer Display for Colour Critical Work

BenQ have recently released a new 27″ monitor in their Designer range, the PD2700U. The display is aimed at professional users, designers, CAD/CAM work and colour critical work.

The 27″ IPS-type panel has an Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution for high levels of detail. There is reference grade colour performance offered by the screen with 10-bit colour depth support, 100% sRGB gamut and a range of preset modes for different applications including CAD/CAM, animation mode and darkroom mode. Factory calibration is included although there’s no talk of hardware calibration.

Asus ROG Strix XG49VQ with 49″ Ultrawide Panel and 144Hz Refresh Rate

Asus this week showcased a new monitor in their popular ROG Strix gaming lineup. The new ROG Strix XG49VQ is a massive 49″ in size with a double Full HD resolution of 3840 x 1080, 32:9 aspect ratio and 1800R curve. Being aimed at gamers the screen of course supports a high refresh rate, in this case 144Hz. While the screen doesn’t pack the high resolution of some other recently announced 49″ screens like the Dell U4919DW for instance (5120 x 1440, limited to 60Hz though) it does offer that all important higher refresh rate for gaming. Also keep in mind that powering a screen at this lower resolution at 144Hz should be a lot easier on your system than trying to power the higher res.

BenQ PD3220U for Designers and Colour Critical Work

The BenQ PD3220U is the follow up to their previous PD3200U display, offering a fresh design and some new features. There is now a borderless panel design and a brushed metal effect stand to create a more attractive looking monitor. The screen is aimed at designers and colour critical work. Asus Designo MX38VC Ultrawide 37.5″ with Qi Fast Charging and Bluetooth Streaming

Asus are releasing a new screen in their ‘Designo’ range, the MX38VC. The new screen is 37.5″ in size and has a 24:10 aspect ratio and 3840 x 1600 resolution. The screen is based on an LG.Display IPS panel with a 2300R curve and has a range of features and extras that you don’t typically see on a monitor at the moment.
